Tamara Meisel is a nurse practitioner certified in Women’s Health, Colposcopy and as a Menopause Provider. She graduated from Harbor UCLA Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program in 1998 and has worked at Kearny County Hospital since. She also spent many years working for the United Methodist Mexican American Community Health Center in Garden City. Specialized skills include: menopause, peri menopause, sexual medicine and holistic health education, birth control education including IUD, Nexplanon and diaphragm insertions, prenatal and postpartum care, incontinence care and pessary management, evaluation and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, colposcopy and vulvoscopy. Tamara is a lifetime resident of Lakin and thoroughly enjoys serving the community of rural southwest Kansas. Specifically, she enjoys working at KCH because her mission and the mission of KCH align perfectly. Both emphasize providing compassionate healthcare to enrich the lives of family, friends and neighbors. Tamara also loves the environment at KCH. She enjoys working with all the different departments in the hospital and clinic and feels incredibly supported by the other providers. Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, baking, seeing new places and trying to promote her family’s own healthy mind healthy body connection.
