Welcome to our website!
It is my privilege to serve as Administrator for Kearny County Hospital. Every day I am reminded of what makes Kearny County Hospital a unique organization. I see our patients and residents placing their trust in our knowledgeable and caring staff. And, I see our staff placing their trust in each other to provide the best care possible.
Kearny County Hospital provides more than just hospital care. In addition to being a 25-bed acute care hospital, we also provide long-term care at High Plains Retirement Village, our 40-bed long-term care unit. Recognizing the need for transitional living, we have 30 Assisted Living Apartments for residents desiring the freedom of their own apartment but the reassurance that assistance is always available. Our facility is also home to the Family Health Center, a physician clinic which employs two full-time doctors. Our home health agency known as Kearny County Home Health serves residents in Kearny County and the surrounding communities.
One of the great benefits to our facility is that all of our areas of care are located under one roof. This provides great efficiencies for our patients, residents and staff as all services can be accessed without ever leaving the building. This also allows for one management structure which provides great efficiencies while avoiding costly duplication.
Our mission is simple…Provide quality, compassionate healthcare services for our community to enrich the lives of our families, friends and neighbors. Our employees work hard to make sure that every person who presents at our facility feels that they are treated with care and compassion.
We are proud of our role in making Lakin, Deerfield and Kearny County a great place to live, work and play. Along with our school systems and local government, Kearny County Hospital is one of the major employers in Kearny County.
Kearny County Hospital is grateful for the continuous support from the residents and Board of Commissioners of Kearny County. Our building and land are owned by the county and a portion of our total revenue is an appropriation funded by the county taxpayers.
Although our wish is for you and your family to be safe and healthy, we hope that you will consider us if the need for medical attention ever arises.
