Julie Munson, DO FAOCO

OTOLARYNGOLOGY

Dr. Munson was born in and grew up the daughter of a doctor in Lakin, Kansas. She completed her undergraduate degree at Creighton University, her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and performed her residency at Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is board certified in Otolaryngology/Facial Plastic Surgery. She moved with her family back to Lakin in 2007 when she began working for Kearny County Hospital at the Ear, Nose, Throat and Allergy Clinic in the Family Health Center. She sees patients in Lakin, Scott City and Johnson, Kansas and performs surgery at the Lakin and Scott City locations. She specializes in conditions such as chronic sinusitis, head and neck cancer, hoarseness, difficulty swallowing, dizziness, allergies, and hearing loss. Surgeries include ear tube placement, tonsillectomy, sinus/nasal surgery, eardrum surgery and lesion excision/biopsy. She is married and has two children. They love to travel, spend time with family and cheer on the Lakin Broncs and Oklahoma City Thunder.
