Respiratory Rehabilitation
Our Respiratory care
department provides a range of services for those with breathing
difficulties and lung disease. We offer testing and treatment of
patients with breathing and other heart-lung disorders such as
bronchitis, asthma, respiratory allergies and emphysema. Our respiratory
therapist Jade Carabajal, a Registered Respiratory Therapist works
closely with our nursing staff at Kearny County Hospital and physicians
to coordinate the patient’s respiratory care services.
One of our tools in diagnosing and treating respiratory conditions is a
pulmonary function machine. This test is measured by inhaling and
exhaling to measure the amount of air the person’s lungs can hold and
the ability to get oxygen into the bloodstream. These measures give a
picture of how well the lungs are functioning. Our Respiratory Therapist
provides services for adults, children and infants in the hospital and
in the outpatient setting. Our respiratory therapist monitors your
health care needs and assists your healthcare provider in treating your
illness.
The function of this Department is to
provide all necessary therapeutic and diagnostic modalities for the
management of respiratory disorders and complications. Services are
provided on an inpatient or outpatient basis.
