Home

Living here is an enjoyable experience; it feels like home without all of the upkeep and chores necessary to maintain a house and a yard. Residents are encouraged to live as independently as possible in the Assisted Living Apartments at High Plains Retirement Village. After paying our low monthly room and negotiated service fees, plus optional telephone and cable television fees, you can sit back and enjoy life. Living in an Assisted Living Apartment gives you more time to do the things that bring you joy, while reducing your housing worries. We pay the utilities, and our staff will take care of the yard, maintain and clean your apartment while you sit back and relax. You will have the option of having our friendly courteous staff prepare for you delicious, well-balanced meals everyday to be served in the attractive dining room. The noon meal is included in your fees, but you have the option of eating all of your meals with us if you’d like.

Security

Because we know a feeling of security is important to your peace of mind, we provide locked outside entrances at night, and a security lock on your apartment door. Naturally, you are free to come and go as you please. Beautiful grounds and a well-lit parking lot are provided for apartment residents and their guests.

Of course, you’ll have the added security of knowing that with the pull of a chain in your apartment you will be assisted by our skilled nursing staff, on call 24 hours a day to respond to emergencies. A nurse will also visit the dining room at noon to check on apartment residents’ health as necessary.

Dining

High Plains Retirement Village offers you choices, lots of choices. You can cook when you feel like it, or eat in the dining room with other apartment residents, or go out to eat with friends and relatives. You can join in the many activities provided here or pursue your own hobbies.

Church Services

Your spiritual needs are met with weekly bible study, Sunday School, and church services providing interdenominational worship.

Activities

We have daily exercise groups with physical therapy or activities staff, daily card games, weekly bingo, musical groups, cooking for fun, crafts, a bird aviary, cosmetology services, newspaper readings, story hours, social hours, and monthly birthday parties. There are numerous porches with tables and/or glider chairs and a large community living room for special occasions.

Health Care

Health care facilities such as a visit to the doctor, dentist, physical therapist and pharmacy are easily accessible without having to go outside.

Life is never dull at High Plains Retirement Village, and residents are encouraged to participate in community activities as well as social and religious activities at various times and location within the building.
